The CHI local Chemical Health Councils operate to provide assessment, planning, capacity building, implementation and evaluation of programs and activities that build strong, healthy communities.

Applying community building principals, the local Chemical Health Councils allow citizens to become effectively engaged in creating their own futures.

While the CHI Advisory Board works to address policies, practices and procedures at the County population level, the local Chemical Health Councils work to identify local needs and resources to promote chemical health for the children living in their own communities.
