Safe and healthy Goodhue County communities

To enhance the quality of life of Goodhue County families and citizens by promoting chemical health

Goal One: Reduce substance abuse among youth and, over time, among adults by addressing the factors in each Goodhue County community that increase the risk of substance abuse and promoting the factors that minimize the risk of substance abuse.

Goal Two: Establish and strengthen collaboration among all sectors in each Goodhue County community to prevent underage drinking and substance abuse among youth.

I. Create a county-wide Advisory Board to develop and implement policies, practices and procedures that create environmental changes at the population level

II. Create community councils that promote multiple prevention strategies across multiple community sectors using the strategic prevention framework model
